Course on anatomy applied to aesthetic medicine
Objectives
  • - To train medical professionals in anatomy applied to Aesthetic Medicine, through practice on fresh cadaveric specimens.
  • - To provide the professional with the anatomical knowledge necessary to practice in the field of facial aesthetic medicine for the use of fillers, botulinum toxin and tensor threads.
  • - Provide hands-on experience on fresh anatomical specimens.
  • - Know the risk areas to avoid complications.
  • - To master the basic concepts in the application of different injection techniques on anatomical pieces, in order to acquire safety in treatments on real patients.
Method
Small group of 3 students
Práctica en el Postgrado de Medicina Estética facial de Eimec

This course has an eminently practical approach, is introduced with a theoretical explanation and is developed in depth while the teacher exercises on fresh cadaveric pieces prepared.

The practices with experienced teachers, allow to contrast the theoretical knowledge, being of great help both for beginners and for those who have been practicing Aesthetic Medicine for some time. You will have the opportunity to practice in real time and simultaneously the different techniques in the different treatments of each facial third on fresh cadaver pieces. One anatomical piece will be worked on for every three students.

On the other hand, the student’s practices with the EIMEC ONE TO ONE method, (groups of three students tutored by a teacher of recognized prestige in Anatomy and Aesthetic Medicine), provide the degree of confidence necessary to practice what has been learned once the course is completed.

The student will receive all the necessary documentation, uniform and work material.

Once the course is finished, the student has access to personalized tutoring and learning follow-up.

With Dr. Mirapeix, RM. MD, PhD. Professor, anatomist and embryologist at the UAB.
